LISTEN: IV Rox share new track ‘Badder Than A Mother’ ft Stormzy

Having wowed us with their last track ‘Down For Me’, female four-piece IV Rox return with their next offering, taken from their forthcoming debut EP Imperfections, ‘Badder Than A Mother’.

Featuring one of the most in-demand MC’s of the moment, Stormzy, ‘Badder Than A Mother’ is another dose of quality from the London based quartet. Their harmonies are tight and individually, the girls showcase their own personal vocal abilities, demonstrating that they’re all equally as talented as each other. Continuing with their pop-meets-grime sound, thanks to superstar producer Davinche, the track features a quirky drum beat and strong powerful synths that back up the girls vocals perfectly and also gives them their own unique sound, which enables them to appeal to both pop and urban music fans alike.

The fact that hugely popular artists such as Ghetts and Stormzy are happy work with IV Rox shows the kind of credibility that these ladies have. With ‘Down For Me’ arguably being the best debut release by an all girl group from the UK in the last five to ten years and being able to follow that up with the quality of ‘Badder Than A Mother’, IV Rox have laid themselves hugely strong foundations and with a strong EP, they could easily establish themselves as the biggest new girl group of the year.

IV Rox’s Imperfections EP is due out on 2nd February 2015 and even though they haven’t yet released their debut project, they have amassed an army of nearly 18,000 ‘Roxstars’ on Twitter and have also won co-signs from some of the industry’s key tastemakers including DJ Target, Mista Jam, Sian Anderson and Manny Norte.

If you can’t wait until their EP drops, have no fear! You can check out ‘Badder Than A Mother’ below and make sure you remember to let us know what you think of these lovely ladies via Twitter and Facebook.
