WATCH: SHEEPY – ’15 Songs (In An Hour)’

Following in the footsteps of artists such as Spring King and The Hives, Liverpudlian trio SHEEPY release their new single ‘15 Songs (In An Hour)’, which is what I presume to be a representation of the stress of being a songwriting musician.

Although the quality of the recording may not be perfect, this song has a lot of potential. The harmonic melody hooks of “I don’t care” really get into your head, alongside the intro melody of “I’m gonna write 15 songs in an hour”. The driving guitar riff is fun, it has a strong Cage the Elephant feel to it – making you want to get up and just shake yourself silly.

These easy-going scousers are branding themselves as a set of jokers with their whacky outgoing videos, but they can also actually write some seriously good songs. I’m excited to see what they come up with next.
