Presented by Tash Walker and Mari Lane, May’s offering of The Gigslutz Girls’ New Music Show was packed with a variety of new music, from Feral Five’s new ‘brain battle’ inspired single, to a live session from the lightly glittered Swedish songstress Akiine.
There were terrifying tales of hamsters in South Korea, the lowdown on who to look out for at upcoming East London festival Field Day and, as always, it would be impossible for these two to get through a show without mentioning the Riot Grrrl movement. Highlights from the playlist included newcomers Laura Doggett and rock trio The Kut, and classics from the likes of Nancy Sinatra and David Bowie.
