Singer-songwriter, Marika Hackman, has revealed gutsy new single ‘Boyfriend’. Produced by Charlie Andrew (Alt-J), ‘Boyfriend’ is said to be the sound of raucous liberation and a gateway for fans to see Hackman in a bright new light.
To give herself even more of a squeaky-clean reinvention, the songstress has brought The Big Moon on-board to play as backing band, making this track the punchiest addition to her artillery yet.
According to Hackman, ‘Boyfriend’ is “Payback for all those times I’ve been interrupted mid-snog by some seedy wanker asking to join in.”
It’s ballsy and eccentric, and most of all makes us love Marika Hackman more than ever before.
‘Boyfriend’ is out 31 March via AMF Records.
