Milburn announced their comeback earlier this year by selling out 4 Sheffield shows in minutes (10,000 tickets!). The Sheffield band’s comeback was so successful, demand so great, they announced a full tour of the UK in September (many of the dates sold out straight away. For last remaining tickets click HERE) plus various festival dates including Y Not with Noel Gallagher, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Madness.
And here, at tonight’s intimate sold out London show (where the supports were impressed, too; check out April for early-Oasis vibes, White Room for huge groove-laden psychedelic rock n roll sounds and Liberty Ship who recalled The La’s at their most melodic and catchy) for This Feeling at Nambucca, they show why; this is a band re-energised, re-vitalised, a band re-discovering why they picked up their instruments in the first place and are thoroughly unstoppable. From the first song to the last, the crowd go crazy, barriers tumble, security crumble. What’s interesting is this is not just a bunch of 30 something geezers, there’s a load of 20 year old kids in attendance tonight (going nuts, too). This isn’t a re-union, it’s the full on re-birth of something magical.
