NEW TRACK: The Big Moon – ‘Formidable’

Will there come a time when The Big Moon release something we don’t instantly love? Probably not, and with their debut album Love in the 4th Dimension set to drop on April 7th next year, it’s likely we’ll fall head-over-heels in love with that too.

To coincide with the album’s announcement, The Big Moon have unleashed their new single ‘Formidable’, which was premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in The World earlier in the week. The track is deceptively quiet; launcning in to a ‘Formidable’ blend of crashing drums and loud guitar mid-way through. It’s further proof that these girls know how to write energetic, bold garage-band anthems.

‘Formidable’ will feature on their new album alongside re-recorded versions of previous singles; ‘Sucker’, ‘The Road’, ‘Cupid’ and ‘Silent Movie Susie’. The girls recorded their debut in London throughout the Summer, and it was co-produced by “super babe” Catherine Marks and the band’s vocalist/guitarist Juliette Jackson.

Speaking of the album, Juliette said: “We’ve been playing these songs for two years now, and it’s a dream come true to finally immortalise them on record. It’s like having eleven tiny babies all at once, all with their own little faces and voices and personalities, and now we’re ready to throw them out of our nest and into your ears.”

‘Formidable’ will be released on 13th January 2017 on limited edition 7” vinyl, but you can listen to/download it now…

Love in the 4th Dimension will be released via Fiction Records on April 7th 2017. Signed copies of the CD, vinyl and limited edition polaroids will be exclusively available to fans through The Big Moon online store.
