Creating yet another tasteful track, Jamie Morrison’s pseudonym of Drewford Alabama returns with his new single, ‘I Go To Sleep’. Juxtaposing the upbeat, electric sound of Noisettes, Babyshambles and of course, the unforgettable Stereophonics, this track contradicts all that came prior to it.
Being incredibly soothing in comparison to previous work, it ensures emphasis on Morrison’s highly capable, ghostly vocals. A dreamlike, reverberated instrumental is created by the angelic tones of a harp, alongside harmonising vocals to accompany and compliment the backing beauty. With the track named ‘I Go To Sleep’, it only stresses the dreamlike setting and inspiration interpreted from the song. Having the ghostly vocals, harmonisations and harp sound combined together creates a mysterious and magical aspect to the track. If you don’t believe me, listen for yourself…
