Premiere: Hazels – ‘The Cure’

‘The Cure’ is the new single from Newcastle five piece, Hazels. Formed in 2013, the band played together in an abandoned greenhouse whilst developing their raw, explosive indie-rock sound. The hard work paid off, and Hazels’ sound has gained both regional and transatlantic support. They were named as one of the North East’s most exciting new bands of 2014, and their previous 2015 single, ‘In Control’, gained airplay across the USA after winning the ‘Audition’ contest on Amazing Radio.

The band have cut their teeth playing in the North East’s small venues, supporting for bands like Blossoms, Glass Caves, The Sherlocks, and The Ordinary Boys. They recently opened the O2 Academy Newcastle’s 10 Year-Anniversary celebrations, too. Produced by John Martindale at Blank Studios in Newcastle, ‘The Cure’ is a loud, guitar-driven three minutes bursting with indie-rock energy. Listen to the new track below!

‘The Cure’ and b-side ‘Can’t Ignore’ will be released online, on 2 April.
