New Track: RADKEY

Radkey are a trio of brothers from Missouri, who together formulate a ripe and crunchy garage punk sound. Since becoming a band in 2010, their success has seen them perform at prestigious music festivals such as Download and Riot Fest.

With the producer of Arctic Monkeys’ AM, Ross Orton, on-board with them for their latest release, you expect something accomplished both in its music and production…

‘Parade It’ gives you the perfect synergy of these! From the start, a catchy lead vocal line fills the centre stage with its mood filled lyrics, “Your love has really got me down”. These roll over a fixed, to the beat, chugging strike from the guitar, bass and drums.

When the chorus breaks, the aggressive, crystal-clear guitar tone belts through the mix alongside a huge punching snappy beat, rounded off perfectly with a wholesome sounding bass and drenched in vocals comparable to an early Misfits LP.

Throughout the song, there are many dropout sections and solos that allow the track to breathe before the last chorus hits you; and it does, in epic proportions. Big, in your face garage punk!

Make sure you check this tune out, and keep an eye out for their debut album later this year!

‘Parade It’ is out now and you can download it from iTunes or Radkey’s own merch store
