NEWS: Tim Holehouse new album and tour news

Blues journeyman, Tim Holehouse has announced a host of new UK and European tour dates to accompany the release of his new album ‘Come’ this November on Aaahh!!! Real Records.

The prolific singer-songwriter will be taking in shows across England,
Wales, France, Belgium, Holland and Austria ahead of the release of his
eleventh studio album, kicking off the tour in London on Thursday 12th
September.

The album itself marks a departure from his recent output of mutant
delta blues to a more alternative country feel.

The release of ‘Come’, as well as the recent release of his live
compilation album ‘Where?’, comes on the back of a full time touring
career that has spanned over a decade. Hardly one to take the easy way
around, Holehouse continues to seek new adventure and build upon the
hard work he’s already put in.

Holehouse said, “It was a real labour of love to make this album as
perfect as possible, maybe a little look back to earlier album From The
Dawn Chorus to make sure it was not rushed. Patience paid off.”

The album was recorded with a string trio, pedal steel guitar and
various instruments at Silent City Studio with Robert Hobson – known
for producing more harsh albums including those of black metal band A
Forest of Stars. Written over a five year period, the album is a real
departure and adventure into new sonic territories for all parties
involved.

Comparisons have been drawn by those who have heard the early play
backs to The National, Leonard Cohen, Smog, Lambchop, Bonnie Prince
Billy (who the song Prince of the Palace is tribute to) and, perhaps
rather unusually, Tony Bennett. Almost narrated stories unravel through
string-laden and various sounding pieces across the album.

Tim considers himself to be a massive music fan of all sorts, and wants
the music he releases to reflect that. “I’m not very keen to be boxed
in as a song writer of a certain style” he said. “Each album has a
different take on myself and the music is very much written from the
heart about personal experiences or subjects I am interested in.”

Tim Holehouse’s new album ‘Come’ will be available on CD, download, and
limited “sunburst” coloured vinyl from Friday 15th November, 2019. His
UK and European tour kicks off on 12th September with dates until the
end of November.
