ONE TO WATCH: Wrenne

Wrenne is a girl with guts and a delicate, yet dominant, voice.

She moved from Utah to London at the age of twenty two in order to pursue her musical ambitions, armed with a modest $300, and a single phone number in her back pocket. Wrenne slowly introduced herself to London’s circles of writers and producers. Fortunately, she found others who were equally as confident in her talent as she was, and now she’s set to release her debut album ISaidYesToEverything in early 2016.

Wrenne left behind her Mormon upbringing in the States to find a new life in the UK’s capital, and this exciting (and equally terrifying) element of exploration is reflected in her uplifting music. On ‘Hope’, Wrenne asks the question all artistic souls hope to have answered – “Will you remember me?” – whilst simultaneously exposing her true desire: “I want to be someone, I need to mean something”.

Wrenne’s striking sound and style will please fans of electronic artists like Robyn, and her intricate vocals will flow through your blood vessels like soothing rain, as the electronic music carefully sculpts your backbone into a confident curve.

Wrenne is due to release her EP, London – presumably an ode to the city which nourished her artistry – on November 20.
