Gigslutz favourites, Halifax’s fast rising The Orielles have shared a new Neelam Khan Vela-directed tour video for the Radioactive Man remix of their recent single ‘Sugar Tastes Like Salt’.
The band, made up of sisters Sidonie B and Esmé Dee Hand Halford and their best friend Henry Carlyle Wade, still aged only 21, 18 & 17 respectively, released their single ‘Sugar Tastes Like Salt’ earlier this year on Heavenly Recordings to much acclaim. A truly epic creation, apparently referencing Tarantino’s ‘Deathproof’ – “Well, ain’t you so sweet that you make sugar taste just like salt!” – the track speeds and slows, creating a majestic, sweeping soundscape that could easily feature on the soundtrack of one of Quentin’s films itself.
Now, a beat-driven Radioactive Man remix of the band’s trademark jangly melodies and woozy vocals accompanies a brand new video following the young band’s psych-enhanced, fun-filled adventures on tour.
