Parquet Courts’ Andrew Savage to release debut solo LP

Cool kid and Parquet Courts frontman, Andrew Savage is set to release a solo album later this year.

Under the pseudonym of A.Savage, the first solo record from the Parquet Courts ringleader is set to be titled, Thawing Dawn.  The LP, which will be released via Dull Tools on October 13, is set to feature collaborations with the likes of Ultimate Painting and Psychic TV among many others.

Although there is yet to be an official tracklisting confirmed for A.Savage’s debut, the New York giant has given us our first taste of the future, in the form of ‘Winter in the South’.  The song can be heard below.

Reported by DIY Magazine, A.Savage said that once he realised he had made some music which didn’t fit anywhere else, he started to “examine the commonalities: what’s the common denominator of all this and how I can expand on it?”.  Make a solo album it seems!

Stay tuned for more information surrounding Thawing Dawn to be announced in the coming months.
