PREMIERE: Civil Villains share new track ‘Cut and Run’ (+ details of the Young Minds Alldayer)

Celebrate making it through January, and prep yourself to power through February, the best way possible – with a brand new track from Civil Villains.

Recorded a few years ago, ‘Cut and Run’ has been sat in waiting until the time was right to release it onto the world. Melodramatic, perhaps, but fitting for a track that can only but describe as a complete powerhouse.

A firm live favourite, drummer Toby Warren said of the track “It comes out of the blocks at 100 miles an hour, but the bottom falls out in the middle and it feels like we’re trying to sprint in quicksand, before we build the energy right back up.”

Thankfully, now’s the time that feeling’s shared with us. We still can’t be sure you’ll be ready for it – the thrilling, unrelenting four minutes of pure energy – but we certainly were, and it was worth the wait.

If that’s not enough good news to round off January, Civil Villains and Trapped Animal have teamed up to host an incredible all-dayer. On the 16th February, Bellevue Days, Kid Kapichi, Goldblume, and more will take over The Victoria, Dalston to raise money for Young Minds – the UK’s leading charity in fighting for children and young people’s mental health.
