This Feeling Track of the Day : The Spitfires ‘Move On’

Fuck knows what it’ll take before radio/industry sits up and takes notice of The Spitfires, who sell out venues all over the UK and Europe, can list Paul Weller and Steve Cradock as fans, and drew some of the biggest crowds to the Jack Rocks/This Feeling tents at last summer’s festivals. Maybe it’s ‘Move On’, their best (and most radio friendly) song yet.

Frontman and leader Billy Sullivan says “It shows a change in direction musically and lyrically. It’s a pop song, taking influences from Reggae and Dub but bringing it into 2017. I don’t think we could or would have set out to recreate that music. We just interpret the space and rhythm into our own sound. Do our own version if you like. I also think it’s a positive statement, move on from tired old views and show that we as people are better than that”.

Oi, radio/industry snob, you hear that? You better cos like it or not, The Spitfires shall continue to soar.
