Premiere: JPNSGRLS – ‘Bully For You’

Following their debut full length album, Circulation, Canada’s JPNSGRLS are set to release a brand new album later this year. Filled with intense riffs, impassioned lyrics and exciting instrumentation, their new offering promises to be worth a listen.

First track to be taken from the album, ‘Bully For You’, is an explosive slice of raucous rock at its best. Of the track, lyricist Charlie Kerr says:

“‘Bully For You’ is an observational protest song about the ceaseless, unfair treatment of women from the point of view of a cisgendered man. It explores the passivity and complacency of misogyny in society throughout the ages, from the beheading of Anne Boleyn to modern day disrespect for female lives and bodies around the world.”

I like him already.

Listen to ‘Bully For You’, exclusively for the first time, here:

‘Bully For You’ is taken from the forthcoming album from JPNSGRLS, due out later this year. And, if you like what you hear, catch them at Camden Rocks on 4 June.
