PREMIERE: The Old Pink House – ‘Cruel’

Newcastle four-piece The Old Pink House will be releasing their brand new track ‘Cruel’ on the 24th of February, but here at Gigslutz we’re excited to give you an exclusive premiere of the bands upcoming release.

Like the band’s previous singles, ‘Cruel’ showcases The Old Pink House’s ability to craft infectious melodies fused with psychedelic bite, confessional lyrics, and glistening synths. Initially born from the bedroom recording project of frontman Christopher Brown, the group came together through a shared enthusiasm for modern psychedelia and a keen pop sensibility.

The Old Pink House have been keeping good company recently; they’ve supported Gigslutz’ favourites Lets Eat Grandma on tour, and fellow up-and-coming Newcastle band The Pale White. The band’s ability to transcend genre and high energy live shows means their tracks are being heard by all the right people, and 2017 looks set to be a successful year for band mates Christopher Brown, Max Middleton, James Grant and Harry Smith.

Listen to ‘Cruel’ below, and follow The Old Pink House on Facebook and Twitter for more updates.
