Premiere: Psycho Comedy share new single ‘The Hangman’

The first of two summer singles, ominously soundtracking late summer evenings, Liverpool’s Psycho Comedy are today sharing their new single ‘The Hangman.’

Harking back to the gender-bending New York punk scene, while sticking to their roots with a psych sound so synonymous with their hometown, ‘The Hangman’ sees Psycho Comedy both artfully reckless and confidently defined and driven. Though weighing in at 3 minutes 20 seconds, ‘The Hangman’ seems to be over in a flash. Rattling and pulsing, ‘The Hangman’ feels both like a bad dream and a euphoric one: it’ll drive you to insanity but have you completely addicted. And you’ll be all the better for it.

Psycho Comedy play a single release show at Shipping Forcast, Liverpool tomorrow (29 July)
