PREMIERE: Sweet White – ‘Genine’

Coming off the back of their widely successful debut EP ‘Monet’ and their headline Scottish tour, Sweet White return with new single ‘Genine’.

This group know how to create introverted electronic tunes and their new track is a forward-thinking take on the struggles of gender dysphoria. Starting out lo-fi and melodic, ‘Genine’ bursts in to life for the triumphant chorus that promotes self-love and confidence.

Through ingeniously written lyrics,  singer Jake Cordiner carefully tells the story of someone who is coming to terms with the feeling they’ve been born into the wrong gender. Having written the song in the early stages of 2015, ‘Genine’ has been heard at every Sweet White gig and has solidified itself as Sweet White’s most popular song to date, without even being released yet!
