PREMIERE: TAYNE – ‘Alive’

Vital, abrasive, and urgent: ‘Alive’ is the second single from London-based experimental outfit TAYNE. With a sound as distracting as the shade of pink it’s creator Matthew Sutton paints his lips with for their live shows – the new track is a pulverizing blend of guitar, bass, and electronics; inspired by the likes of Nine Inch Nails, John Maus, Fuck Buttons, PVT & Health.

Taken from their forthcoming debut Breathe, which is set to be self-released later this year, ‘Alive’ is accompanied by a set of visuals as savage as the single’s breakdown two and a half minutes in. To celebrate the release, TAYNE will be playing a free headline gig presented by Slay Low at London’s Old Blue Last on 16th April, alongside Two Tribes & Sweat Threats (even details here). The single will be available on cassette at all of TAYNE’s upcoming gigs (full dates below), and each tape features ‘Alive’, bonus tracks, and comes with a download code too.

TAYNE are best experienced live and at full throttle, so make sure you head down to Old Blue Last to see them in the flesh. In the mean time, you can watch the video for ‘Alive’ below.
