PREVIEW: Umbria Rock Festival prepares for Weller, Charlatans, Courtneers and more

This years Umbria Rock Festival is fast approaching with the beautiful setting of Massa Martana in Italy getting ready for August 1-3.

Situated around 90 miles out of Rome, Massa Martana is an ancient town in the middle of the most amazing mountain ranges where history, traditions and inspiration is at an all time high.

And talking about inspiration, Umbria Rock organisers have produced a top notch line-up…

Day One sees Uk dance mob, Basement Jaxx feature alongside former New Order and Joy Division bassist Peter Hook and his new venture, Peter Hook & The Light.

The ever timeless father of the mods, Paul Weller will perform alongside Tim Burgess and his much loved Charlatans the following day. While they’re are the wise heads, ‘younger’ Manchester band The Courteeners will also be on hand to belt out a few of their own classics as well as their new track ‘Summer’.

Umbria Rock closes with The Kaiser Chiefs who are playing in support of their latest No.1 album, and they will be joined by fellow indie and rock outfits, The Cribs and James.

Adult tickets range from 50 euros for a one day pass to 120 euros for a three day ticket (plus booking fee), however, there are also cheaper tickets available for 12-18-year-olds, while under 12s go for free!!
