Previews – UV Festival

After the success of UV Festival 2012, the wait is finally over for this years extraveganza. This year will be bigger and better, with more UV lights, brighter paint and crazier outfits

The inherently quaint setting at New House Farm, with home made bar tops, horse trailer staging and hay bail sofas, opens it’s doors once again to the carry you into the night as we unleash some incredible acts. Bringing you the best in underground electronic music, ranging from live bands to house and electro DJs.

Hosted by the musicians, designers and farm owners from the record label, UV Festival adopts the DIY ethos to music releases, gigs and festival experiences that Hijacker Records is so proud to live by.

If you are unsure of what to expect, imagine a huge all day party to celebrate great electronic music with friends, friends of friends and everyone in between. This close knit atmosphere typifies what the day stands for. A totally immersive experience where music lovers get together to be painted and unite.

If you still don’t know what I mean, check out the video from 2012 “UV: Birth Of A Festival”. Continuing with the DIY approach, all footage was shot on hand held cameras from staff and festival goers, highlighting the hard work, challenges and rewards that go into pulling off a festival – and the subsequent highs from seeing it become a success.

Of course there is an affordable bar on site, along with numerous cheap food vendors, but you are welcome to bring your own array of supplements. Camp and park for free, and enjoy the various daytime activities we have in store. A stones throw from Gatwick airport, the middle of nowhere has never been so accessible, with trains running to London through the night.

You can now purchase your tickets for UV Festival 2013 now, with the option to buy a limited edition UV Festival T-Shirt at a discounted online price. Arrive from 11am, with the party kicking off from midday.
