Scottish post-punks DEAD PONY announce arrival with riotous new cut ‘Everything Is Easy’

Becoming the latest act to emerge from Glasgow’s thriving post-punk scene, bustling quartet Dead Pony announce their arrival with riotous new cut ‘Everything Is Easy’, set for release May 1st via LAB Records.

Following the lead of fellow Scottish risers The Ninth Wave and Walt Disco, the frenetic four-piece are primed for their relentless ascent to the top of Scotland’s musical agenda and beyond, having concocted a fearsome live reputation with their high-octane rock ‘n’ roll, earning esteemed slots alongside the likes of Courtney BarnettBlack Honey and The Mysterines in their relatively short time together so far.

“‘Everything is Easy’ is a take on how simple childhood experiences can be soured as you grow older”, explains frontwoman Anna Shields. “Lyrically, we tried to capture that feeling of betrayal you feel as a young, naïve child when you find out Santa isn’t real or that your conception wasn’t via your Dad finding a snotter on the wall and raising it to become you. We came up with this idea after having discussed how ridiculous the things were we believed as children”.

The first in a series of releases to be unveiled throughout 2020, Dead Pony’s ‘Everything Is Easy’ is out May 1st via LAB Records and will be available via all digital platforms here.
