The Cure announced as Glasgow Summer Sessions 2019 Headliner

Playing their first Scottish gig in a phenomenal 27 years, The Cure has been announced to headline the 2019 edition of Glasgow Summer Sessions.

Taking place at Bellahouston Park on Friday, August 16 2019, Glasgow Summer Sessions is already set up to be a must-see affair.

Headliners, The Cure, will be supported by Mogwai and The Twilight Sad – who previously supported the headline act at their BST London show at Hyde Park this summer – as well as Welsh rockers, The Joy Formidable.

The Glasgow show shall be The Cure’s first appearance in Scotland for 27 years, as well as their first ever headline slot at a Scottish festival.  The appearance comes as part of the long-list of gigs planned to take place across the world; all in aid of celebrating The Cure entering their fifth decade of life as a band.

Tickets for Glasgow Summer Sessions date are due to go on sale Friday, October 26 at 9 am.  Both general admission and VIP tickets are available to purchase from £59.50 + booking fee and are limited to just 4 per person.  For more information see here.

Glasgow Summer Sessions 2019 is organised by DF Concerts and have enlisted Carlsberg and Somersby as the official beer and cider partners of the festival.
