London based duo Gem & The Deadheads appear at first glance like any other budding group. That’s until you hear them. Not just their sound, which for the record is rock as it once was – gritty, uncompromising, soulful, pained and drunken in all the right places – but for an attitude as close to rock and roll as 2015 is likely to get. A stark refusal to work with management, and a sharp view on the industry around them. Hold tight.
