Tom Grennan played to a packed out Jimmy’s in Manchester as part of Scott’s Menswear ‘Take The Stage’ campaign

Tom Grennan played to a packed out Jimmy’s in Manchester March 21 as part of Scott’s Menswear ‘Take The Stage’ campaign. The intimate 120 capacity venue was packed to the rafters from start to finish as This Is England stars Thomas Turgoose + Andrew Ellis warmed up the crowd with a DJ set full of Northern soul, ska and indie classics before the first live act of the night Prose tore into a stripped back set of songs old and new. This Feeling DJ Katie Owen kept the crowd bouncing during the change over between Prose and Tom Grennan with a series of Madchester classics that had the place bouncing which was perfect as to what was to come next.

As the clock struck 9.45pm the venue was fit to burst as Tom Grennan took to the stage playing songs from his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Lighting Matches’ plus an amazing cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘You Know I’m Good’. Having not long since got off a flight back from LA where he’s been writing the new album Grennan teased the crowd with new music soon that he promised will not disappoint. Next up for Grennan is The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. The guy’s got the lot; a big heart, big songs and a very big future.
