Hailing from Lancaster, The Lovely Eggs have been making pleasant grunge music since their first
release in 2011 and have quite the repertoire of material. They are back with their new album This
Is Eggsland which will be dropped on February 23. They have just released their latest single ‘Wiggy
Giggy’ on Soundcloud.

In past releases, songs have had hooks so catchy they’re easy to bop along to but their latest offering isn’t quite the same. It opens with distorted, repeated chants of “Wiggy Giggy” and though the melody is catchy, it does borderline on annoying.

The chorus’ vocals glide over the heavy guitar well, and the simple drumbeats compliments the song and gets your head moving. Don’t let the constant wiggy and giggying put you off as their past speaks for itself and for a two-piece, they have some complex songs. As more of their upcoming release gets revealed, get excited for what’s to come on This Is Eggsland.
