New Track: James Cherry – ‘Cry Myself To Sleep’

James Cherry – a Leicester lad, solo-swimming in the fresh genre of ‘aggressive soul’ –  has just released his new single, ‘Cry Myself To Sleep’: the most intriguingly pleasurable track you’ll have the privilege of hearing this week.

Already supported by the mammoth Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens, ‘Cry Myself To Sleep’ is an emotional exploration into the heart of Cherry. Boasting vocals which surge with the same energetic power as the game-changing John Newman, Cherry melodically warps the regular ‘modern day soul sound’ to snugly fit around his character. ‘Cry Myself To Sleep’ is a pioneering effort demanding intense media attention.

The single comes from Cherry’s Blame It On Our Youth EP, which features ‘Heart Of Stone’ and the title-track, alongside the compelling ‘Cry Myself To Sleep’. The EP is available to listen to here via Spotify.

If there’s one name you need to remember, it’s James Cherry. Catch him live at The Cookie in Leicester on 18 August, tickets here.
