TRACK: TAYNE share new single ‘Haunted’

Past and present collide on TAYNE‘s hypnotic new single ‘Haunted’. The London/Irish industrial synth-pop outfit have shared the track & accompanying eerie visuals ahead of their debut album, Breathe, which is due to be released via Strange Brew this October.

Speaking about the visuals for ‘Haunted’, creator Matthew Sutton explains: “I wanted to recreate some of the themes from the upcoming record; and also give an insight to the chaotic, intense live presence of TAYNE. The track is about trying not to live in memories, and let go of things that still haunt my mind”. Matthew’s phantom-like appearance, extreme close-ups, and disorientating strobe lights combine to make watching and listening to ‘Haunted’ feel like an emotional exorcism. Visceral electronics, abrasive drum beats, and hair-raising screams score an urgent need to move away from the pain of the past; and embrace what happens when you do.

Mastered with TJ Lipple (Xiu Xiu, St Vincent, Fugazi, Bikini Kill, Holy Ghost & MGMT), TAYNE’s upcoming album is set to be a polished but punishing listen, and ‘Haunted’ is the third of a series of singles that proves the band are set for big things. They’re currently touring the UK, and will be performing in Berlin & Ireland at the end of August. Their live performances are as intense as the sounds they deliver, so make sure you catch them on one of the dates listed below. Follow TAYNE on Facebook for more updates.
