Video Premiere: Bad Pop - 'Other Spooky Is'

Canadian trio, Chris Connelly, Catherine Hiltz and Aaron Klassen – aka Bad Pop – have already built quite a reputation for their intoxicating live shows across their homeland, and are now set to take the UK by storm with their raw, tongue-in-cheek take on post punk.

Released as a AA side with self-titled single ‘Bad Pop’, new track ‘Other Spooky Is’ sums up what the band is about perfectly. Propelled by a raucous energy, alongside eerily unsettling undertones and the intense squawk of Connelly, it soon builds to a racing, frenzied (and indeed spooky) cacophony of a climax. Infectious in its chaotic urgency, it’s a raging belter of a track that’ll leave you longing for more from this exciting new trio. Of ‘Other Spooky Is’, Connelly explains:

“It always felt like a big, bold, ridiculous statement… the kind of thing that you’ll either love or hate. There’s no middle ground with this song. If you’re still listening by the time the demonic robot shows up, you’re probably hooked.”
