Drawing influence from Spacemen 3, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Spoon, New York band Grassfight are breaking the post-punk world with the emotion-ridden tracks. Their EP, Please Don’t Tell sees the band document the break-up of two of the band members.
Taken from the EP, ‘Breaking Up Pigeons’ (and its accompanying video) sums up feelings after a break up; dark and distorted, with moans of “in the past, I was your future”, the track is an insight into at least one half of a relationship.
