Video Premiere: Spiritwo – ‘Mesumamim’

Starting out as a project by visual artist, Yael Claire Shahmoon, in the clubs of Tel Aviv, Spiritwo create a unique fusion of industrial rock, electro beats and Middle-Eastern influences with an eerie theatrical quality. Oozing a mesmerising stage presence, Spiritwo have been fast receiving acclaim for support slots with the likes of Savages and Knifeworld.

Now, just in time to welcome the Winter, Spiritwo have shared a brand new video for one half of their new double A-side single. The video for ‘Mesumamim’, meaning ‘on drugs’ in Hebrew, fits its name perfectly as mystical images of landscapes are juxtaposed with – somewhat disturbing – slugs slithering along blood-strewn photographs… A haunting track, filled with sumptuous vocals that will no doubt send shivers down the spine. It’s no wonder Time Out have labelled Shahmoon “Queen of the Tel Aviv underground”.

Watch the brand new (and a tiny bit creepy) video for ‘Mesumamim’ here:

Spiritwo release double A-side ‘Mesumamim’/’Face To Face’ on 13 November.
