WATCH: Anteros share new video for ‘Ordinary Girl’

Anteros have unveiled the second of their three-part series, with their new ‘Ordinary Girl’ music video.

The Mad Max-inspired trip to Marrakech was co-directed by frontwoman Laura Hayden and creative director Bella Howard (Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX). It follows on from  ‘Call Your Mother’, though with a switch to grayscale, the band continue their quest across the breathtaking Moroccan desert.

‘Ordinary Girl’ has taken on a slower folk-rock sound, with it being written for Hayden’s younger sister. It dissects the feeling of being knocked down and the fight to get to back up.

Speaking about the track, Hayden says: “Part II: It took a minute to find my voice. I struggled to understand that – after spending my entire time at school and growing up trying to so hard to fit in – I needed to erase the ‘ideal girl’, the ‘ideal woman’ from my head.

“To do what makes me happy, instead of what others expect or project onto me. This is a message to my little sister.”

Anteros are set to release their debut record, When We Land, via Distiller Records on March 1.
