WATCH: Banditsu shares martial arts themed video for ‘Katana’

The combination of a martial arts movie, an immense Grime instrumental and some sick lyrical flows can’t be pulled off by everyone, but one man who can is Londoner Banditsu.

His latest track ‘Katana‘ merges all three of the aforementioned elements, creating a unique and mesmerising spectacle. The beat for the track, created by Toronto-based producer Ekho, is as individual as the entire project too. Filled with bass-led licks and skippy Grime drums, all fused together by traditional Asian sounds; this is a beat that will live long in the memory.

To be able to dominate a beat like this takes some real talent and Banditsu has that in bucket-loads. His ability to weave a story throughout his music and include clever references is a serious skill and this is definitely a standout track from him. Having worked on his flow for a number of years now, he’s really perfected his craft and can be considered a well rounded artist.

The video for ‘Katana’ speaks for itself – the martial arts fights are very entertaining and fit with the vibe of the track perfectly. Check the video out below and make sure you’re following Banditsu on Twitter to stay up to date with all his latest news.
