WATCH: Jammer shares all-star video for ‘Royal Rumble’

With the next instalment of Lord of the Mics set to be released on 25th September, co-founder Jammer has upped the hype with a brand new track ‘Royal Rumble‘.

Featuring 12 hugely well known and respected MCs from the Grime scene, the track is a back-to-back homage to the 8-bar tunes that were so common during the early days of the genre. Jammer has managed to assemble an immensely strong line-up and with MCs such as Hyper, Bruza and Ears making strong comebacks on this track and giving long-time Grime fans a nostalgic reminder of the past, ‘Royal Rumble’ is definitely a tune fit for a king.

Talking about the track, Jammer said,

“With ‘Royal Rumble’, I was trying to capture the essence of what our music was about 10 years ago. With a lot of artists from the underground, they get signed and the music becomes structured. I wanted to ignore formula – who says you have to have a chorus? This is lyrics for the rave and getting infulential people alongside those people who’ve been putting the work in lately, bringing it to the fore.”
