For people of a certain age, Pokémon was everything. The Japanese craze, fronted by cartoon hero Ash Ketchum, swept the nation, spawning 3 films, a TV show and a host of memorabilia, not mention the all important collectible cards. One thing it hadn’t done, however, was inspire the creation of a Grime track. Until now…

Boy Better Know’s Jme has created ‘The Very Best‘, a track which samples the theme tune from the Pokémon TV show, turning it into a certified piece of Grime history. With lyrics about ‘shiny Charizards’, ‘Link Cables’ and ‘Rare Candy’, this is a PokéGrime fans dream and with a brilliant animated video to match, Jme has once again proven his credentials as one of the most creative minds in the UK music scene today.
