WATCH: Shocka shares video for ‘My Revolution’ starring Russell Brand

Former member of grime trio Marvell, Shocka has returned with a brand new track entitled ‘My Revolution’.

Clearly taking influence from Russell Brand and even featuring him at the beginning of the video, Shocka discusses a number of issues with some pretty hard hitting lyrics. “In the word ignorance it’s got ignore in it / that’s what we do with our problems, we keep ignoring it / we ignore it like the problems don’t exist / like you can’t see this homeless guy laying in some piss” is an example of the topics that Shocka covers and there is a real passion that oozes from every verse.

Having witnessed the recent Tory win in the General Election, ‘My Revolution’ will resonate even more with voters/non voters who are dissillusioned with the curent political system. There is a real feeling of revolution in the air in the UK currently and this track brings that feeling to life perfectly.
