WATCH: Target talks Pitched Up – the club night & label

In December 2013, two legends of the UK urban music scene Target and Danny Weed started up a club night called Pitched Up. Based at Dalston venue Birthdays, the club night was an opportunity for emerging artists to showcase their talents before they hit the mainstream.

Two years on from that beginning, the club night is still running as strong as ever and has hosted some of the UK’s biggest and brightest newcomers from the likes of Little Simz to Meridian Dan. More recently, the duo were offered the chance to run a Pitched Up label imprint at Sony Music and after taking up that opportunity, they have gone on to sign a number of artists and producers.

We caught up with Target to find out a bit more about Pitched up – the label and the club night – and stuck it all into a nifty little video for you to feat your eyes on. So check it out below…
