WATCH: TOORARETODIE share brand new track ‘On The Run’

Ahead of the release of their Lonely Nights Abroad EP which is set to be released shortly, London-based rap collective TOORARETODIE have shared the first visual to be taken from that project for their track ‘On The Run’.

Produced by Denjeezy, the track has a mysterious and haunting feel to it, as with many of TRTD’s recent releases. The drawn out, echoey synths and delicate keys combine to great effect, creating a unique soundscape and with Ricky Ramsey’s rhymes laced over the top, the first look into what we can expect from the group’s forthcoming EP is hugely exciting. With the hypnotic chorus of “I be on the run, I be on the run / these women don’t know me / and these women don’t know no better”, Ramsey brings ‘On The Run’ to an ominous close at around the two minute mark, leaving room for the rest of the EP to follow.

Considering the quality of their debut EP Once Pure, which was released at the end of 2014, we are expecting big things from TRTD and as long as they continue to make innovative music that oozes their trademark unique laid back & mysterious vibe, then they will always be considered ones to watch by us.

If you haven’t already, check out ‘On The Run’ above and let us know what you think on Twitter and Facebook.
