Born off the back off This Feeling club nights and festival stages, This Feeling – Alive tour, sees headliners Bang Bang Romeo, The Shimmer Band and Blackwaters head out around the UK, supported by more of the best new bands around, to celebrate indie music in 2017 and the power of new bands. 

Ahead of the tour, we’re catching up with all the bands involved to find out what makes them tick. First up, YVES, who join the headliners in Bristol on 1 October…

An energetic rush of soulful rock n roll.

Our drummer Finn smashing the van window 120 miles from home on the M6, very cold.

Who would be on your ideal festival lineup (to play alongside)?

Queens of the Stone Age, The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys.

What song do you wish you’d written?

This Time Tomorrow by The Kinks.

Who should we be listening to at the moment? 

The National’s new record that came out last week.

Why are promoters/nights like This Feeling so important?

This Feeling are keeping guitar bands and guitar music alive, when everyone seems to be doubting it, and they’re proving everyone wrong.
