George Hammond-Hagan and Cathy Guetta team up to make ultimate revision hack

Ivor Novello Award Winner George Hammond-Hagan and European TV Celebrity and My Love Affair Owner Cathy Guetta have partnered up to create Studytracks.

The app gives students access to over 600 songs with various subject categories for GCSE and higher education to make revision easier than ever before.

Topics are turned into easily memorable hooks, so the syllabus becomes song lyrics which are triggered during exam time. It features a range of genres, and at the end of each song an in-app quiz ensures users have understood what they’ve been listening to.

The app has become part of a research project from the University of Barcelona as studies have previously suggested a positive link between music and memory.

Many musicians have lent their talents to the app, including Rudimental’s Thomas Jules who has rapped his way through Maths topics such as dealing with graphs.

It is constantly updated to meet the subject demands of users so it can provide as much help as possible. It also won ‘Start-Up of The Year’ at the recent Educational Resources Awards.

Founder of Studytracks George Hammond-Hagan says: “Naturally, students love listening to music and current artists, so by combining our method of study with international artist involvement,  we can engage students even further and help them retain and recall information in exam situations.

Studytracks’ success within its first   year   has   far   exceeded   our   expectations and   we   have   lots   more   exciting developments on  the way. I wish I’d had Studytracks when I was at school.
