From launching Pharrell’s album in LA, to making a spaceship with Skrillex, to hosting a myriad of musical trailblazers in ten Red Bull Studios around the world, 2014 was a year of many magical moments for Red Bull. To celebrate, Red Bull, along with some of the most inspiring artists from their creative network, have curated a selection of songs to take music lovers into 2015. As part of an overarching commitment to nurture a network of creatives and their artistic development, a series of 20 exclusives tracks from 33 artists will be released every day for 20 days.
The track for 4th December ‘Knucklehead’, saw Lil Herb, the MC sensation from Chicago and LA’s Earl Sweatshirt trade extra-gritty verses over this laid-back, sample-fueled banger, produced the Odd Future man of mystery himself. The two collaborated to write and record the song ahead of Red Bull Sound Select’s 4 Days in Austin during SXSW.
All artists involved in the series have played an integral role in one of Red Bull’s various musical programs and projects throughout the past year. More information can be found here where tracks will be revealed and made available for streaming and download every day at 5pm GMT between December 1st and December 20th. Downloads are limited to 1,000 digital copies, so checking in early is highly recommended!
