New Track: She Makes War – ‘Stargazing’

Bristol based doyenne of gloom-pop, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist, She Makes War, is set to release a brand new single.

‘Stargazing’ is the final release from third solo album, Direction Of Travel, and follows singles ‘Drown Me Out’ and ‘Cold Shoulder Paper Thin’, which had radio support from BBC 6 Music and Radio X.

‘Stargazing’ is lyrically and melodically beautiful. The arrangement is elegant and simple, with the acoustic guitar and strings allowing her vocals to take centre stage. Her poetic lyrics are filled with themes of loss and space, and the profound idea that’s there’s another world outside ours.

She Makes War has recently played at one of London’s most stunning venues, Union Chapel, and I can imagine it suited her style perfectly.

‘Stargazing’ is out 11 November via The state51 Conspiracy.
