Two Unheard Versions Of ‘Glass Onion’ By The Beatles Have Been Released

The re-release comes after the anniversary of the White Album, which the track originally appeared on in 1968.

It was previously confirmed that the album would be re-released back in September, to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Following this, a session version and a demo version have now been released.

The latest edition to the album will be “lavishly presented” packages, with new mixes of the 30 tracks. It will also include 27 early acoustic demo versions and a further 50 session tracks; most of these have never before been officially released.

Paul McCartney spoke about the latest White Album releases: “We had left Sgt. Pepper’s band to play in his sunny Elysian Fields and were now striding out in new directions without a map.”

Giles Martin also spoke on the latest releases: “In remixing The White Album, we’ve tried to bring you as close as possible to The Beatles in the studio. We’ve peeled back the layers of the ‘Glass Onion’ with the hope of immersing old and new listeners into one of the most diverse and inspiring albums ever made.”

These re-releases will be available on 9th November, which are available to pre-order here.

It follows Paul McCartney’s Wings re-releases of Wild Life and Red Rose Speedway.
