WATCH: BBK movie ‘Jamaica Better Know’

Having walked away from the Red Bull Culture Clash as champions in 2012, grime collective Boy Better Know are taking the business of defending their crown seriously, journeying to the birthplace of sound clash culture to hook up with the scene’s founding fathers and newest talent for a short film titled, ‘Jamaica Better Know’.

Meeting and collaborating with the originators, masters and legends of the scene, the film features the leading lights from Kingston’s dancehalls including pioneer U-Roy, veteran sound system selector Ricky Trooper and rising star Newbaan. From cutting dub plates to discovering where the island’s newest talent spit their finest lyrics and drop the biggest bass lines at the Unruly Clash Wednesdays showcase, Boy Better Know run the streets of Kingston searching out advice on how to retain their title this October.
