Drenge Release New Video For ‘Autonomy’

The single is taken from their third studio album, Strange Creatures, which we’re all ecstatic to hear on February 22nd.

‘Autonomy’ is the first track to be released from their next album, and their complimenting music video is inspired by the Oscar-winning Polish short film ‘Tango’ by Zbigniew Rybczyński – it collectively signifies the confusion of the 21st Century world.

Speaking about their release, the band said:

“It’s almost as if you can’t believe what you’re seeing. Image and sound manipulation have become so powerful that we are beginning to debate the actuality of real events. The comfort of certainty feels long gone, but you can’t accept it. Fake news, fake views, fake likes, fake clicks. All part of a game that will be endlessly examined in the history books, but feels nauseating and ill intentioned in our current climate.”

Their next album is produced by the one and only Ross Orton, who has worked with huge names such as Arctic Monkeys and The Fall. It was recorded in their hometown of Sheffield earlier this year and is definitely something to be rubbing our hands with excitement for.
