Julia Shapiro, Lydia Lund, Annie Truscott and Gretchen Grimm – aka Seattle’s Chastity Belt – have been firm favourites of Gigslutz since we first heard the post-punk vibes of 2015’s Time To Go Home. Now, set to release their third album next month, the band have shared a new track.
‘5am’, the epic closing track of the new record, is a thing of dark beauty. Oozing a jangly, discordant cacophony with distinct Sonic Youth vibes, it’s filled with a fragile melancholy whilst maintaining the band’s trademark dreamy, scuzz-rock energy.
