NEW TRACK: COVES – ‘STORMY’

Coves are back with new single ‘Stormy’. Released on 18 December, it’s the first track from their forthcoming sophomore album, due for release in March 2016. With their their shimmering psychedelic indie sounds, scuzzy guitars and sweetly pop tinged vocals, Coves are setting to set themselves up for a very promising  2016.

Gaining great success from previous debut album Soft Friday, the band have since gained plays from the likes of Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Lauren Laverne and Nick Grimshaw, whilst critics and fans alike compare the bands modern psych pop sounds to such disparate acts as Spiritualized, Lana Del Ray, The Shangri-La’s and Brooklyn trend-setters Crystal Stilts and Vivian Girls.

Splitting their time between life in London and touring with St Vincent and The Raveonettes, Coves finally sat down with producer Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar) to set about creating a follow up album with the band. The result was a second album, completed in October 2015 and due for release on 1965 Records in March 2016 that’s cleaner, harder and just as fiery as ever.
