The Big Moon shortlisted for Mercury Prize 2017

The stunning debut album from The Big Moon has been added to the shortlist for this year’s Mercury Prize.

Love In The 4th Dimension, released via Fiction Records, joins the shortlist of albums in the running for the 2017 edition of the Mercury Prize.

The Big Moon’s debut, remarked as “confident in its own weirdness” by Q Magazine, stands alongside the likes of Stormzy’s Gang Signs & Prayer, Kate Tempest’s Let Them Eat Chaos and Glass Animals’ How To Be A Human Being.

Elsewhere on the shortlist we can find massive names such as Ed Sheeran and previous-Mercury Prize winners, alt-J and The xx.

Reported via press release, The Big Moon said of their nomination: “We are really so, so honoured to be nominated alongside so many amazing musicians.”

The winner of the Mercury Prize Award 2017 will be announced during the awards ceremony, taking place at London’s Eventim Apollo, on September 14.
