Track Review: Desert Ships – ‘Heart Beats’

‘Hearts Beats’ is the new single by trip-tonic, space rock band Desert Ships. After the success of their debut album, ‘Doll Skin Flag’, the London three-piece have teamed up once again with producer Mark Gardener to create this unique new track.

Soft, mellow melodies blend right in with the harsh sound of guitars and the fresh beat of the drum. The band create a calm vibe throughout the song, whilst all the while retaining an up-beat tempo. Whilst singing about a man’s urge to live life again happily after heart surgery, the track creates a unique sound – a real pop experience. With the lyrics ‘dance dance dance to heartbeat‘, this track really does make you want to dance, dance, dance!

The band are yet to release three more singles, including ‘Heart Beats’, whilst preparing to head back on tour across Europe. Dates here:
